I spearheaded the design and coordination of the annual international HxGN Live conference, spanning over 120,000 SF of technology exhibits and featuring three days of keynotes, sessions, hands-on training, and evening events. My role involved crafting cohesive branding through creative signage, event themes, and overall planning. In addition to signage and events, I designed attendee badges, keycards, agenda guides, postcards, pins, and other materials, while managing budgeting, communication, and coordination with exhibition vendors. I oversaw the signage layout and plan, provided on-site direction, and offered graphic support during the event.
Creative Direction + Visual Brand Identity
As design lead, I led a team in designing cohesive conference signage, adapting branding annually for location and theme changes. In Hong Kong, we addressed multilingual and cultural considerations. I created promotional assets for the following year, covering ads, themes, signage, social media, website banners, and email campaigns. I also oversaw the branding of nightly events, managing a team for event promotions and on-site materials.
On-Site Management + Wayfinding
Navigation was a crucial element of the conferences, given the expansive nature of the event centers, which featured various locations for distinct events and breakouts. Our team assumed the responsibility of designing comprehensive wayfinding graphics to facilitate seamless navigation for attendees throughout the conference center. This encompassed the development of directional meterboards, easels, floor stickers, banners, printed guide books, and guidance integrated into the conference app.
Branding + Production
My team and I were responsible for conceptualizing and branding the promotional merchandise and collateral materials for HxGN LIVE events. We meticulously designed and branded a diverse range of items, including bags, mousepads, mints, water bottles, t-shirts, door hangers, pens, chapstick, and other assorted items. Additionally, we crafted program guide books that detailed the conference hall map, breakout session schedules, TV program schedule, hands-on training sessions, and information about The Zone exhibition hall. Our goal was to ensure a cohesive and visually appealing brand representation across all materials associated with the event.
